The Boston Club encourages members to get involved, offering a variety of programs from formal events and seminars, to informal luncheons and social networking dinners. The Club's standing committees, established to further the mission of the organization, provide additional opportunities to participate in activities that help frame and shape the Club's future.
Corporate Board
This committee is dedicated to increasing the number of qualified women on publicly and privately held corporate boards. The committee identifies board opportunities, matching qualified women and specific expertise to the needs of the organization. The committee also provides on-going education and information to women interested in board service.
Corporate Sponsorship
The Corporate Sponsorship Committee develops and implements an annual plan for raising revenues for the Club, working closely with other committees to create events and programs that will result in corporate underwriting, sponsorships, and creative partnerships.
Strategic Planning
The Strategic Planning Committee ensures the activities of the Club are focused on achieving its mission by providing support on two levels. On a strategic level, it is the guardian of the Club's vision, from placement of women on corporate and nonprofit boards, to advocating on issues that affect women in business. On a tactical level, it recommends specific tasks, new programs and activities to complement the goals of the organization.
Marketing
The Marketing Committee is responsible for positioning The Boston Club to the business and professional community, and the media. It executes strategic public relations and develops opportunities to promote and showcase the knowledge and expertise of Club members to a variety of industries and the press.
Membership
The Boston Club actively promotes the professional advancement of women and seeks to attract a diverse membership. This committee helps identify and encourage prospective members to join, seeking women with senior managerial or professional expertise, demonstrated leadership skills, established involvement in community activities and proven commitment to women's issues.
NonProfit Board
This committee matches Club members to the needs of nonprofit Boards, governmental agencies and commissions. This hands-on group works closely with nonprofits of all sizes, from defining the scope of the assignment and the expertise required, to shepherding small organizations through the structured application and candidate matching process.
Program
The Program Committee plans a variety of events, from Distinguished Leader Breakfasts to Personal Perspective Luncheons, that engage, involve and stimulate the diverse population of Club members. There are over 35 programs, social and networking events each year that embrace business and professional issues, community and political involvement, and personal and professional development.
