Board Placements
The Boston Club is committed to increasing the number of women on corporate and nonprofit boards. We take direct action through our Board Placement Programs, Corporate Board Committee, Nonprofit Board Committee, and our Executive Advisory Council to raise the profile of women in leadership. Through these programs, The Boston Club has directly placed or participated in placing hundreds of women on boards in the Boston area and beyond.
If your organization would like to access the deep connections the Club has with accomplished, professional women, please contact us at info@thebostonclub.com.
CORPORATE PLACEMENTS
The Boston Club’s Corporate Board Committee helps identify and recommend qualified women to fill public and private company board openings. After an assessment of a company’s specific requirements, a Corporate Board Committee liaison conducts an in-depth search of the Club’s robust database to generate candidates for the company’s review.
Our database contains qualified women board candidates who have demonstrated expertise, skills, and knowledge attractive to boards. We also have access to candidates from other executive women’s organizations across the United States. With board placements across all major industries, the Corporate Board Committee of The Boston Club has built a strong reputation for providing a valued service to organizations committed to ensuring gender diversity on their boards.
Fundamental to the Corporate Board Committee’s work is the production of The Boston Club’s Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers of Massachusetts Public Companies. In partnership with Bentley University, annually we examine the latest trends in board composition and executive leadership as a means of monitoring progress toward more diverse representation.

Nonprofit Placements
The Boston Club’s Nonprofit Board Committee helps organizations in their searches for qualified board members. They work to provide opportunities for Club members to serve on nonprofit boards by soliciting opportunities and providing education on the value of nonprofit board service and philanthropic involvement. In addition, they honor and encourage community service among members and provide educational content on the issues facing nonprofit members today.
Every other year, the Nonprofit Board Committee releases The Boston Club’s Census of Women Directors and Chief Executives of Massachusetts Largest Nonprofit Organizations. In partnership with Simmons College, we examine the trends behind leadership in the 150 largest nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts.
