Nonprofit Boards

Leveraging Leadership Skills to Align Personal Passion with an Organization’s Mission

The Boston Club’s Nonprofit Board Committee offers assistance to organizations in their searches for qualified board members. With over 150 placements in organizations representing education, human services, arts and culture, the environment, and health care, the Nonprofit Board Resource Program has built a strong reputation for providing a highly valued service that is free of charge to organizations seeking to add to or maintain gender diversity in their board ranks.

A member of the Club’s Nonprofit Board Committee is assigned to the organization as search manager. After an assessment of the organization’s specific requirements, the search manager conducts an in-depth search of the Club’s robust database of both members and non-members, resulting in a recommendation of candidates for the organization’s consideration. Special care is given to ensure alignment of candidates’ personal interests with each organization’s cause.

The Nonprofit Board Committee has recently assisted the following organizations in placing women on their boards:

  • Associated Early Care and Education
  • Baypath Humane Society
  • Boston Ballet
  • The Boston Center for Adult Education
  • Bridgewell
  • Boston Partners in Education
