Member Criteria
The Boston Club is a diverse community of highly accomplished women.
One of the hallmarks of The Boston Club is the diversity of our membership. All of us have demonstrated substantial accomplishments in our fields, leadership in our communities, and support for other women in business. However, together we represent an impressively broad range of skill, culture and perspective. Our membership encompasses top-tier executives and entrepreneurs, attorneys, financial advisers, strategic marketing consultants, college presidents and nonprofit leaders. We recognize that there are many paths to leadership and so each applicant is evaluated on her own merits.
Our guidelines for evaluating whether a candidate will benefit from membership in The Boston Club include the following:
- Has the candidate demonstrated, and been recognized for, leadership abilities?
- Has the candidate provided notable service to the community through leadership participation in organizations, activities and events?
- Does the candidate express dedication to the advancement of women leaders?
The first step in applying for membership is to review the membership categories and criteria with your sponsor. The next step is to complete the membership application. You can apply online or download the application form. Then, send your completed application along with your resume to your sponsor. (You may upload your resume or LinkedIn profile if you complete your application online.) Your sponsor will then submit your materials along with her recommendation. You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your application from the Membership Committee. Within one month’s time, the Membership Committee will review your application and either contact you for additional information or let you know of its decision.
