Åsa Fanelli, (pronounced “Osa”) is the Principal & and Chief Strategist of IdeaLift Group, a boutique strategic consulting firm specializing in leadership development, board governance, strategic planning and sustainable revenue generation. Åsa also supports the growth of more effective leaders and collaborative teams by teaching mindfulness for increased wellbeing and resilience in life and at work. She is a Certified Teacher for Search Inside Yourself (SIY), a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence curriculum developed at Google, as well as a certified teacher with Journey Meditation, a stress management and mental wellbeing program for corporate clients.
Åsa has over 20 years of leadership experience in the global corporate and nonprofit sectors. Prior to starting IdeaLift Group, she served as CEO and President of the Boston-based nonprofit Horizons for Homeless Children. Åsa started her career with EF Education in Rome, Italy and later moved to Boston as President of EF High School Exchange Year. While at EF, she also served as head of North American Human Resources and Talent Management, overseeing the global cross-company leadership development program in EF offices worldwide.
Åsa graduated in Human Resources Management and Economics from University of Stockholm. She is a Swedish citizen who grew up in Asia, Africa and Europe. Besides serving as the Chair of the Nonprofit Board Committee of the Boston Club, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Epiphany School and the Newton Health and Human Services Advisory Board.
